Hiya! Thanks for checking us out — and for wanting to know a bit more about the people behind the products.

When I say “us,” I mostly mean me (Kerry) — with some technical help from my husband and occasional social media input from our kids (whether I ask for it or not 😅).

How It All Started

Like many of us during 2020/21, I spent a lot of time in my home. And one day, as I looked around, something hit me:

For a Black British woman of African and Caribbean heritage…
my space didn’t really reflect my culture.

Sure, I love a bit of flat-pack Scandi minimalism (naming no names), but where were the pieces with character? With roots? With soul?

So I picked up my paintbrush, grabbed my spirit level (yes, really), and started creating. Wallpaper designs. Vinyl wraps for furniture. Embellished cushions. I combined my love of colour, crafting and heritage — and just like that…   Home Sweet Soul was born.
